Project Description: 
Canadian Natural Resources Limited (CNRL) initiated the Horizon Oil Sands project to facilitate the production of 115,000 barrels per day of synthetic crude oil. The project included the development of the mining operation, ore preparation plant, extraction facilities, oil refining, and associated support units. The facility is located approximately one hour north of Fort McMurray, Alberta. 
CNRL consists of open pit mining operation and bitumen extraction facilities to mine and separate the raw bitumen from the oil sands.CNRL then upgrades the bitumen to a sweet synthetic crude oil (SCO)using proven delayed coking and hydro-treating technologies.The project is a chemical plant structural steel which including hydrogen plant and CO2 recovery unit.
